Hello, I have tried jupyterlab desktop, and I have found that it does not have "extensions manager" enabled. Last year it was commented that for the future it was planned to add that function to the desktop version, we are already finishing 2022 and it still does not appear that added function. Will there be a date when that function will be implemented in the desktop version?

This will be possible with the new extension manager (jupyterlab/jupyterlab#12866) coming in JupyterLab 4.0 (jupyterlab/jupyterlab#9647).

@krassowski Great, and is there a release date?

For JupyterLab 4.0 see the issue linked: jupyterlab/jupyterlab#9647 (comment); as for JupyterLab Desktop 4.0 it would follow after JupyterLab 4.0 release but some more time will be needed for porting and testing than in the current updates on 3.x line (4.0 is going to be a big release).
