Discord bot JS

Introduction

Discord bot written in JS using:

• Official Discord.js library
• Node.js
• Guide: Discord.js Guide
• vibify - Spotify API wrapper

Installation

Note: This bot requires Node v16.9.0 or higher.

git clone
cd discord-bot-js
npm install

Configuration

Note: You need to create a bot on the Discord Developer Portal and add it to your server. The bot requires: Send Messages, Manage Messages, Embed Links, Attach Files, Read Message History, Use External Emojis, Add Reactions permissions.

Don't forget to enable Message Content Intent in the Bot section of your application.

Rename .env.example to .env and fill in the required fields.

Starting the bot

npm start

Features

• Displaying the user's Spotify information

• Displaying the user's currently playing track

• Displaying the user's top tracks

• Displaying the user's last listened tracks

• Displaying the user's top artists

• Creating a playlist for a specific month and year

• Creating a recommendation playlist based on the user's top tracks, top artists and last listened tracks

• Displaying the weather for a specific location

• Displaying the forecast for a specific location

Notes

• This bot is currently under development and may contain bugs.
