Currently there are a few technical depts in K8up:

kooper framework very old and should be replaced with operator-sdk
a lot of POC quality code
hard to extend with features

This issue will track the rewrite of following aspects:

reconcile handling
locking
observing
job triggering
migration to operator-sdk
