Hi! 👋

I have a working prototype, and most likely support for alternative backends like pass will eventually come. I also merged one part of it that refactors YubiKey OTP integration and makes it possible to have entries with different backends.

However, during development I noticed very interesting issues, so if I merge it right now, the stability of the app will suffer. This means that support for pass won't happen in the next release for sure.

First thing to do to get it: migrate everything to TypeScript. This is in progress and will happen regardless of pass, but here it's more of a requirement.

Now I would like to understand the demand for it. Let's see how many people come here and find this issue.

Most ppl here are from "KeePass ecosystem", it might be a few ppl in pass eco outside can explore this, but I think KeeWeb can at least resolve some issues of Pass , including a good cross-platform UI & browser extension.

Some progress on this, KdbxWeb is fully migrated to TypeScript. Now it's time for KeeWeb.
