I test keyboarders since a week and this is certainly a great tool event in its first stages.

I'm on macos with no declared XGD variables and as a result, after installation the source file to add keybindings is at the following directory : $HOME/Library/Application Support/keyb/keyb.yml

I have two questions :

  • there is no config.yml file in this folder, should I create one there to set various UI elements ?
  • would it not be a good idea to display the kb by alphabetical order by default ?

Thanks for the excellent work keyb has already its own keybinding to open it in a tmux popup and send the "/" key to query for a keybinding

Hi, thank you for the kind words!

there is no config.yml file in this folder, should I create one there to set various UI elements ?

That is strange as a default config.yml should be generated in the same folder as the default keyb.yml file. I only managed to test on Linux so thanks for reporting this.

Please try the following:

  • Create a config.yml manually in the same folder with your custom configuration and run keyb
  • If the custom config is not implemented, try including the path explicitly keyb -c /path/to/config.yml

would it not be a good idea to display the kb by alphabetical order by default ?

It is a good idea, not sure why I didn't include this in the first place. I will include this in the next release.

Hi,

It's perfect. I just add the config file of the readme and test with the last parameters you add in one of the last updates and it works fine. I uninstall the package and reinstalled it and it's also fine, I don't know what happened In the first place.

Nice to see the sorting and the quick launch in search mode, these are good additions imo.
