[Bug] Time slider for trips layer is broken

For a trips layer, the time slider disappears when trying to use the slider to manually adjust the timestamp.
Other features (playing animation, animation speed etc.) appear to be working.

@cdeverell can I ask you what your data looks like? I can't even get it to render the trip animations (I'm using kepler 0.3.2)
