Observed during acceptance testing for v15.

On Ubuntu 21.10 Impish with Wayland, pressing keys on the onboard OSK doesn't produce any output.

We can try this in 16.0, but it likely won't be easy. @ermshiperete would prefer we get it working in our common KeymanWeb-based OSK, rather than fixing unmaintained Onboard.
