How important are replication and document history to you?

Hi everyone,

I would love to hear from anyone that is looking forward to replication (#90) and/or the ability to retrieve past versions of documents (#186). Please "vote" by reacting to the appropriate symbol, or leave a comment if you have any further feedback:

• 🚀 Replication and/or document history are blocking BonsaiDb from being used in one or more of my projects.
• 👀 Replication and/or document history are something I want, but I can wait 6-12 months no problem.
• 👎 Replication and/or document history are not important to my plans.

I am taking this poll because #225 will require a format upgrade, and there are potential changes to Nebari that I might want to experiment with as part of a larger set of changes (khonsulabs/nebari#42, khonsulabs/nebari#46, plus other ideas I haven't written up). By grouping all the file format changes in one release, users won't have to worry about upgrades rewriting databases multiple times.

The more people that these features are critical for, the more likely I am to prioritize the work sooner. However, if most current users aren't waiting for these features, it makes a lot of sense to focus on flushing out existing features and work towards finishing some of the other initial goals I have for BonsaiDb.

Regardless of the poll's results, I still am planning on having replication within the next year. This poll just will help me determine priorities.
