I've successfully been able to run slice.rb, but I can't convince extract.rb to work. Is there any documentation about how to work with extract.rb? Thank you!

There's not much documentation yet, but I can try to help.

What platform are you using?

Hi - we're really happy someone is trying to use this. We've re-written the installation notes, and this might help!

OS X version 10.4.7.

I did have a look at your updated installation notes, and I already had
PDFTK but not the two gems listed. I now have those and still can't seem
to run extract.rb.

I'm fairly inexperienced at programming and I know very little Ruby, so I
could be missing something totally obvious about how to run it.

Thanks!

Is extract.rb giving an error? If so what is it? Thanks!

At this point, I've actually gotten extract.rb to run now without any
errors. It extracts 4 items from your sample.pdf. For my pdfs it runs
without an error, but the plist file I can generate will contain 0
properties. I haven't been able to figure out why.

I'm also trying to understand the overall plan...how do you then use the
plist and png files?

Forgive me if these questions are very basic. Thanks again for the help.

Hi!

No worries - these are great questions. I'm in the process of writing the documentation that should help you. So I will hopefully have a complete answer soon.

We would greatly appreciate it if you continue to try to use this and continue to ask questions!
