Hmm - that is a bit obscure. Perhaps we just need full screen, split view, and quad view buttons. That is actually just one more button than what we currently have. s

agree that is probably not the best option but we just need to figure out what we want. This is inline with what Jared initially suggested but now that we have the infrastructure to handle it, we can choose which way we want to go. We just left that aspect on the side for now since many other things were missing...
