Heavy lag when switching back to application

If I switch out of the Kiwi app, and switch back, some of the time it's completely frozen for roughly 5 seconds. Interestingly enough, if I yet again switch out and back quickly, the freezing stops faster. Android phone. I tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling the app to no avail.

wow. I thought it's just me!
it actually already happening for a few months now.
I tried everything. different keyboard. no extensions. event factory reset of the phone.
it's only happening with kiwi.
note: I'm using a rooted Redmi note 10s & MIUI 14.
