Today we have a page Knative Offerings I think we need a page where users of the technology can be a private, public or open-source project that benefits and hopefully contributes in any shape or form to/from Knative can have a place in the docs.
This way other community members can be aware of these other users and help grow the community.
This week I attended the Tekton WG meeting with @mattmoor (he was showing off mink CLI ) and I noticed in their roster they have a place for "Tekton Friends" and also noticed a link to a GitHub repository https://github.com/tektoncd/friends
I mean look at the cute logo, It gave me envy 😭 [1]
I proposed instead of having 2 pages "Offerings" and "Users" we have a single one "Knative Friends"
Because folks that offer Knative downstream, and are also consuming Knative OSS in some shape or form (code, docs, blogs, API spec, etc.)
The page can be a structure with tables and easy to navigate and recognize the different entities to the point that I think it will be good to have a visual like a logo for each.
PS1:
One idea about making an incentive for users to allow to be added could be that TOC has an entry for "Friends" in the roster and allow 1 user every week if any to just say come Hi 👋 . they can come and have a chance to say “thank you for Knative we are using in X to Y, also this is one Z Knative can do make friend's Y better”
PS2: Credit to @tcnghia for sparking the idea, I don't want to take the full credit
