unable to navigate to local directories in configure

When configuring IPTV simple in Nexus on a Firestick, it is impossible to navigate to local directories for m3u8 and epg files. The list to choose from contains root, but clicking on it does not do anything, It is also not possible to manually enter the path like for a URL.

This is likely an android permissions issue, so would need to raised on the xbmc GitHub.

I have no access.
I gave permission to Kodi on firestick settings, but that did not help. Nothings changed.

What I mean is this is the wrong place to raise this issue. It should be raised on the xbmc GitHub.
