Compatibility with default dwm ebuild present in gentoo tree

Hello, I stumbled across this repository from a gentoo forum thread on emojis on dwm
I'm a bit shy on leaving behind all by config files placed for dwm in /etc/portage/savedconfig.
I'd like to know what patches I need to copy into the /etc/portage/patches/x11-wm/dwm folder to get emoji support (I did the libXft patch already). Thanks for your help!
