The latest released version appears to be 0.6.10, but this is not resolvable (including by the plugin in the readme). Shouldn't the latest released version be preserved in distribution hubs?

it is resolvable. Right here

The readme just since got updated so it no longer matches the old version group and artifact id

But it doesn't really matter since 0.6.10 uses gateway version 6 which doesn't work anymore so using 0.6.10 is pretty much useless (unless you only want to use rest)

0.7.x is supposed to release at some point but it's currently held back by some bugs (from other parties) that make it unstable so it can't be realease

@BartArys and @HopeBaron probably can provide some more insight on that

The reason there is a release version yet is due to the breaking things Discord has been introducing (especially regarding slash commands cause we support them)
The reason you see no stable version (Artifact not found) is because since 0.7.0 we moved to maven central.

However, we highly recommend not to use any 0.6.x variant as it's no longer supported because Discord switched to v8 and use 0.7.0 instead

Our github repo directs you to 0.7.x branch for the sake of an updated readme
other than that I've nothing to add on what @DRSchlaubi said
