Sorry for the very long respond time. I haven't specifically tested Hebrew yet. The English Wiktionary, “all” version should include entries for all languages explained in English, although at least some Asian languages have problems at least for some entries.
If you however mean Wiktionary in Hebrew (definitions in Hebrew), then the problem is I would need to add entries for each tag e.g. verb, noun etc., and those tags are presumably in Hebrew. I can try adding them if I could get a list of the tags from you or somewhere. I'm not sure if the program currently handles RTL input correctly. Well, maybe it just processes the letters LTR whereas a human reads them RTL.
I compile the project with Eclipse. I create two jars, StripNamespaces.jar and ReadStripped.jar. I run them in the JVM via Windows cmd scripts. I use some scripts and stardic-editor in Linux to create the stardict version. It's been pretty long since the last build. I will try to perform a new build and post detailed instructions for doing it.
Hi Joel
Can you please add instructions how to convert wiktionary to stardict.
Is it also work on Hebrew?
Oren
