These guides will cover all information relevant to the speedrun of the given category, including a detailed route with specific actions to take to complete the run for full game runs, and general strategy or tips for IL runs. These guides should be considered your one-stop shop for each category.
These guides cover specific glitches used frequently in KotOR speedrunning, including detailed instructions and videos for performing the glitch. If you're looking to polish up on a specific type of glitch, these are the guides for you.
Glitch guides are split into two types:
- Major Glitches: These glitches are considered major due to their ability to either significantly sequence-break the game, or completely bypass the usual rules of normal gameplay (i.e., Fake Level Ups bypassing normal character construction rules). Major Glitches are only legal in the Unrestricted Ruleset.
- Techniques: These glitches are not considered major; while they have useful effects, those effects are either minor or limited, so that they augment normal gameplay rather than bypass it completely. Techniques are legal in both the No Major Glitches and Unrestricted Rulesets.
