Automatic refresh rate not working #238
Comments
You have to reboot shield after tv / avr is on. |
I think i tried it already, but will try again in the evening and will update. |
No luck with the reboot after the AVR and projector is on. |
Any idea? i'm watching Kodi in my HTPC again because of this problem... |
Same issue here. Shield is set to 1080p 60hz. In spmc the auto frame rate switch is in always(have also tried start and stop). Running a samsung d8000 and a denon x3200w. Movies are playing from an external hd usb 3.0. Rebooted everything, event went as far as powering everything down. Edit: further testing. Hooking the shield up directly to the tv fixes the issue. I have found other users on the nvidia forum that have the same issue with denon avr 3200 and 2200. And Marantz as well. It seems to be caused by the denon/avr having hdcp 2.2 and the tv only supporting hdmi 1.4. (satv:hdcp 2.2 - avr 2.2 - tv hdmi 1.4) |
Same here, refresh rate always stays at 60hz. Using my ancient DUNE player for the time being. |
Nvidia needs to fix this I believe. I resolved this issue by buying a cheap HDMI splitter which is HDMI version 1.3 and inserting it immediately after the Shield: Shield -> HMDI Splitter -> Denon AVR-X4200W -> Panasonic PT-AE4000U projector Refresh rate now changes. |
Cheaper than my solution. I bought a new television. Nvidia has acknowledged the issue, but beta testers have also mentioned that it's not fixed in the upcoming 3.2 release. |
I have the same issue with a new Denon AVR-X1300 receiver and a Panasonic P65VT60 television. |
Hi,
Have the folowing setup:
SATV V3.1 (also tested with V3.0) -> Marantz Sr7010 -> Panasonic at-6000e projector
Using SPMC V16.2.1
Link to logs:

Also tested the same setup with Panasonic GT50 TV with no luck and tested the same setup with HTPC (Kodi 16.0) instead of SATV and it worked flawless.
Thanks,
Oron
