Getting auth failed: 2 error

I have a tacacs_plus daemon running on a redhat server and am able to authenticate to it via a Python tacacs client.

However, when I try to use pam_tacplus I am seeing an auth failed: 2 error. In the tac_plus server log the error is login failure: tac 10.2.252.77 (10.2.252.77) ssh .

I am positive that I am using the correct password when trying to ssh. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
