It apparently falls back to 1.5 then: see https://code.google.com/p/google-web-toolkit/issues/detail?id=8694

The change in GWT was: https://gwt-review.googlesource.com/4325

It's been temporarily re-added for 2.6.1 (to be released next week) but will be gone in 2.7 (expected for June)
