What is the purpose of /examples/pytorch/elastic/etcd.yaml #1655

I don't understand clearly.
Is it necessary to apply this yaml file to run the imagenet ddp training under the directory?

It is only used in elastic distributed training. If you run DDP, there is no need to create this.

As for ealstic training, please have a look at https://pytorch.org/docs/stable/distributed.elastic.html
