Description

As part of the Kyma module documentation, each module has to describe the expected resource cosumption (as sizing information for SKR clusters) depending on particular load sceanrios.

Following sizes have to be define and the required amount of allocated resources has to be described.

  • Minimum
  • Small
  • Medium
  • Large

For each "sizing" we have to provide figures how many of following resources will be required:

  • CPU utilisation
  • Disc consumption
  • RAM consumption

AC:

  • Describe for each sizing the load scenarios we were using to measure the resource allocation (e.g. Minimum = 10 requests / min with payload size of 500kb, Small = 50 requests / Minute etc. etc.)
  • Run a load test which simulates the describe load scenario and track the consumed resources
  • Update the sizing document in Sharepoint and notify @mmitoraj when the information is available
  • Integrate the load test into our delivery process to be executed regularly (at least once a week on the Hyperscaler AWS and Azure) and track the results for at least 6 month. This enables us to see how the overall performances evolves over time.

Reasons

Come up with sizing information for our customers.
