group 1 - week 3 Retrospective

Stop Doing

  • Waiting too long before sending the first PR.

  • Create smaller issues (detailed tasks).

Continue Doing

  • Keep doing all the planning: communication.md, backlog.md, among others.

Things to agree on beforehand (Standard paremeters)

  • Font families

  • Font sizes: headers, paragraphs

  • Color palette

  • Container

  • Units, measurements (line height, margins, borders...).

  • Troubleshooting together.

  • Regular/Daily check-in calls.

  • Commitment

Start Doing

  • Keep a library of your own work so can keep using and perfecting things you have made before.

  • Talk to other teams and see what from their experience can be uselful and what we can help them with if necessary.

  • Star using Responsively app.

Lessons Learned

  • MediaQuery for sreen sizes.

  • Comment the code so others can understand your thought process and identify your work.

Strategy vs. Board

  • Translating the development strategy into issues seems to be crucial in order to reflect the amount of work to be divided and the overall progression.

  • Maybe having one person in charge of planning and managing the project board and issues.

What parts of your plan went as expected?

  • Every team member delivered their work on time.

  • Communication went well.

  • Stick to the planned schedule.

  • Coach Tamer's asistance was very valuable and helpful.

What parts of your plan did not work out?

  • Everything went well because our plan was not well defined.

  • Site does not work well in all devices.

Did you need to add things that weren't in your strategy?

  • Smaller and more specific issues.

  • Unified styles.

  • Designated person responsible for general design.
