This is a weird edge case, but I thought I better mention it anyway.

I do all my dev in an ubuntu VM with the root dev directory symlinked to a shared virtual box directory on my host OS (windows).

When I excute sbt runAll, cassandra fails to start up like this:

[error] a.c.s.PersistentShardCoordinator - Persistence failure when replaying events for persistenceId [/sharding/HelloWorldCoordinator]. Last known sequence number [0] com.datastax.driver.core.exceptions.NoHostAvailableException: All host(s) tried for query failed (tried: /127.0.0.1:4000 (com.datastax.driver.core.exceptions.TransportException: [/127.0.0.1] Cannot connect)) at com.datastax.driver.core.ControlConnection.reconnectInternal(ControlConnection.java:231) at com.datastax.driver.core.ControlConnection.connect(ControlConnection.java:77) at com.datastax.driver.core.Cluster$Manager.init(Cluster.java:1414) at com.datastax.driver.core.Cluster.init(Cluster.java:162) at com.datastax.driver.core.Cluster.connectAsync(Cluster.java:333) at com.datastax.driver.core.Cluster.connectAsync(Cluster.java:308) at akka.persistence.cassandra.ConfigSessionProvider$$anonfun$connect$1.apply(ConfigSessionProvider.scala:46) at akka.persistence.cassandra.ConfigSessionProvider$$anonfun$connect$1.apply(ConfigSessionProvider.scala:46) at scala.concurrent.Future$$anonfun$flatMap$1.apply(Future.scala:253) at scala.concurrent.Future$$anonfun$flatMap$1.apply(Future.scala:251) [warn] a.p.c.s.CassandraSnapshotStore - Failed to connect to Cassandra and initialize. Apparently this is a known issue with cassandra, but it threw me for a while until I figured it out.

There doesn't seem to be much we can do about this
