I got the plugin to work. There are a few other changes which had to be done. Raised a PR for the same.

I noticed that there is no way to group notifications based on a key or something. That would be amazing

because this plugin is made for my project use, it will be missing many features, i will try to add these needed features soon. Thank you @BullsEye34
