Hello @FredKruse

I have just installed the latest LO available and the add-on no longer works:
lt_1_20230602

lt_2_20230602

Is it a known issue?

Thanks!

I'm getting the same error message with Libreoffice 7.5.4.2 and the 6.1.1 extension (not a nightly). Linux Mint Cinnamon 21.1, kernel 5.19.0-43-generic.

I get this in the languagetool logs even when I try to option the Options settings for LT. The settings are enabled in LO.

LT office integration log from Wed Jun 14 11:00:17 GMT-04:00 2023

LanguageTool 6.1.1 (2023-05-13 08:00:28 +0000, 6deaef8)
OS: Linux 5.19.0-43-generic on amd64
LibreOffice 7.5.4.2 (The Document Foundation, Debian and Ubuntu), en-US
Java-Version: 11.0.19, max. Heap-Space: 8004 MB, LT Heap Space Limit: 7203 MB

Configured Linguistic Service: org.languagetool.openoffice.Main, en-US
It seems the automatic grammar check is disabled. Please enable "Check grammar as you type" at "Tools"/"Options"/"Language Settings"/"Writing Aids" and restart LibreOffice/OpenOffice.

There is a bug in 7.5.4, please try again with 7.5.5 once available or downgrade (not sure when the bug exactly appeared, maybe 7.5.3 works).

@danielnaber The error also occurs in the server version. Has anyone reported it to LibreOffice?

Has anyone reported it to LibreOffice?

Probably, I was told 7.5.4 has buggy LT support and 7.5.5 is supposed to fix it.

Looks like this is the exact bug:

Looks to be fixed for:

  • LibreOffice 7.5.5
  • LibreOffice 7.6.0

LibreOffice 7.5.5 will release ~July 17–23.
