There should be an option to use your Gravatar if you would like.

While EAI makes sense on single-author blogs as a /replacement/ for Gravatar, it needs to be an /alternative to/ Gravatar on multi-author blogs.

put an option on the profile page to select whether you want to use Gravatar or the Profile Picture
Modify custom get_profile_picture function to include check for Gravatar option

Just pushed out 1.1 which automatically defaults to Gravatar associated with user's email if user has not selected a profile picture from the EAI.
