test-utils is now async

since @vue/test-utils 1.0.0-beta.30 the updates are no longer synchronous so we need to add Vue .nextTcik to the tests in order to pass as outlined here: vuejs/vue-test-utils#1137

This is a great guide and this is the only thing that seems to have become outdated so far so if you agree, I can submit a PR for this issue to work with newer versions of @vue/test-utils
