Separate repo for data, or script for ports to sync? #550

I can see that there are a few ports of swot, and I'm not sure what's the strategy for a port to stay up to date with the data component of swot. If not a standalone data repo, could there be a script that pulls & syncs data from this repo?

I think that's what #247 is trying to achieve with a Git submodule or something. There is a data-only branch, but I'm not sure what's going on with that.

For the time being I have a semi-automatic process to sync my JavaScript port
