Linking to the LESS site on Facebook or Google+ both yield a generic link. This means that no thumbnail is displayed and the title, description and URL are whatever is defined in the main metadata.

This can be easily tuned by adding metadata to target Facebook's OpenGraph, Google+ and Twitter Cards.

According to some of the posts here: https://developer.linkedin.com/thread/2876

LinkedIn uses OG metadata.

I can confirm that, so do other services, it's not a facebook-exclusive thing.

I'll get us setup to use OG and JSON-LD at minimum (although Google doesn't really index metadata from JSON-LD in any categories related to what we're doing... but it still help in general). I'll also setup detailed even tracking and social analytics so we can make changes based on actual traffic and trends.
