open is it possible to use this on the Xinfrared T2 Pro camera?

I expect this not to work in a satisfactory way. With some changes, I was able to get it to work with an Xtherm T3S today. But only the video feed with recording and snapshots, without any temperature measurements.

You might have better luck trying the ht301_hacklib software, as it is said to be usable for the Xtherm T2S+, so probably also for the T2 and T2 Pro. You will probably need to add some device identifiers as outlined here to get it to recognize your camera.
