Issue:

  • The literature is abundant in population pharmacokinetic (popPK) models, but models suitable for individual dosage adjustment are rare.
  • Quality and generalizability criteria need to be established in order to collectively select models that are potentially useful at the patient's bedside.

Suggested solution:

  • The Therapeutic Drug Monitoring - Customisation of Treatments group of the Société Française de Pharmacologie et de Thérapeutique (French Society of Pharmacology and Therapeutics) has begun this work.
  • The models resulting from this collective work should be included by default in posologyr.
