A "Follow this creator" feature, aka user feeds. Users who ask for donations should be able to tell their (potential) backers about the great things they're doing. Followers should receive notifications via email, unless they opt-out of course.

If the follower isn't currently donating to the followed user, the notification should contain a donation link.

For my use-case, I'd like to be able to make a monthly newsletters that my donors will receive (unless they opted-out voluntarily) and non-donors would be able to follow if they opted-in.
It looks like this is a part of what is done here, so I'm adding my voice.

This issue is about Liberapay becoming a blogging/newsletter service. I would like Liberapay to be in better shape before we jump into that mess.

An option could be that if a donor opts-in, liberapay sends her a weekly/monthly newsletter.

This newsletter would be a sum of messages from the different recepients.
