Project name: Description: The ProbeLab team is building tools for P2P-layer measurement and monitoring of libp2p-based networks. The team’s Nebula crawler has become the flagship crawler for the libp2p ecosystem. Nebula is a libp2p DHT crawler and monitor that is designed to track the liveliness and availability of peers. Nebula-based experiments are aimed at monitoring and improving the resilience and reliability of distributed systems by developing better tools for monitoring and managing decentralized peer-to-peer networks. Parsec is a DHT and IPNI performance measurement tool that is used to gather accurate data on the performance of DHT and IPNI lookups and publications. probelab.io is receiving several hundred visits per month and is expected to increase as the team is integrating more networks into its monitoring pipeline. Project name: Description: This research blog post shows it in action, with performance metrics. This project is intended to be used with other projects wishing to rate limit traffic on their libp2p enabled network, while maintaining the privacy of message senders. This is enabled by default in Waku now, with the launch of The Waku Network generation 0. Github/Twitter link: Contact: |
