Why do you recommend using the boot method for Laravel 5, but not 4?

I'm trying to avoid cluttering up the global.php more than it already is in our application.

Yeah, you can use Laravels boot method for version 4, too. There is no real difference, but I prefer to use the global.php file. That's a matter of taste.
