Community guidelines: Are there clear guidelines for third parties wishing to 1) Contribute to the software 2) Report issues or problems with the software 3) Seek support

For JOSS #6620, they seem to require some guidelines on reporting issues or contributing to the software. For bigger projects, some contributing guidelines can be beneficial (e.g. one that I personally am actively involved in). Perhaps one or two sentences in a section such as the following can be added in the README.md file:

Contributing (or Getting help?)

Please report bugs by opening an issue. If you wish to contribute, please refer to... If you have questions, you can open a discussion thread (<- you need to enable this for this repo IIRC).
