i cloned cimba and was trying to run it locally. it let me login with me webid, but then got stuck trying to add my datastore (satra.data.fm).

Hi,

Who is your WebID provider? Does it allow you to edit your WebID? If so, you just need to a relation saying:

<#me> <http://www.w3.org/ns/pim/space#storage> <https://satra.data.fm/> .

You can replace <#me> with your own foaf:Person graph (the one where you describe yourself -- i.e. name, photo, etc.).

Unfortunately you cannot edit your profile on webid.mit.edu :( You can try signing up for a new WebID from within Cimba instead.

it might be worthwhile to put a note somewhere on the page that not all web-ids support writing. otherwise others like me will continue to run into the same issue.

You are right. I suppose I could add a note or a message when attempting to write the profile fails. I will rename this issue and reopen it.
