Audacious is not correctly minimized #1576
Comments
I noticed that too. For the time being, you can solve that by closing and reopening the playlist and equalizer windows before minimizing. Somehow Audacious doesn't register the main window as "parent" window for the playlist and equalizer, if they are to be shown on startup. |
Interesting, maybe I'll lurk the audacious code a little bit and see what I find there, maybe I'll send a bugreport to the audacious mantainers on Debian, if it gets fixed modifying the audacious code, I'll close this issue myself Thanks a lot for the info! PS: I still believe cinnamon should be able to get through this more cleanly as the other WM though |
I did that code digging @ImanolBarba talked about and also found an (unfortunately closed) issue at Audacious' bugtracker: http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/203 |
I just created a new issue here: http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/242 |
Is this still valid in Cinnamon 2.2? Audacious bug points issue to Muffin?
|
Closed due to lack of response. |
I've noticed that when using audacious with the classical winamp interface, if I hit the minimize button on audacious it just minimizes the main window, the equalizer and playlist remain on screen.
That's probably due to the fact that audacious using the winamp interface gets its own window managed, probably confusing muffin, though I'm not sure.
Other WM also have some quirks when dealing with said interface, but they all manage to minimize and restore it correctly most of times.
Thanks a lot for your attention
