Bind a screenshot tool to for example print using cinnamon settings->keyboard->shortcuts.
Then open a menu, hover over the window list for a preview or open looking glass.
You won't be able to make screenshots.
This is kind of annoying, I have to call gnome-screenshot with a delay to make screenshots.

Edit: Nope, thought this was about my other topic.. This one is absolutely different.
About my other topic, that might be related:
From the topics description I'd say no. I've noticed the need to double tap when using the super key, but that's something I can work with.
Looking at the comments tho, it might be related to the same issue.
This is not avoidable. GTK has to grab the pointer and the keyboard
when it maps an override-redirect window like a menu or a combo box
dropdown. Otherwise users could e.g. switch desktops using WM
keybindings which is very annoying, since the override-redirect
windows are effectively sticky - the WM doesn't manage them, thus
doesn't hide them on desktop change.
But this should not affect cinnamon, since we actually know when a workspace is switched and can hide those applets on that event.
