Alt to hide/show menu bar plays bad with alt-tab switcher

I'm using Cinnamon. I hid the menu bar in Nemo. Alt is the shortcut to make it visible again. But every time I want to switch windows using the Alt-Tab switcher the menu bar is exposed again. This virtually renders the option to hide the menu bar useless.

One app that got it right: Firefox also uses Alt to show the menubar, but it waits until you release Alt or until you combine it with another key to obtain a menu shortcut. Instead, Nemo shows the menu bar immediately after pressing Alt.

It would be nice if you coordinated this with linuxmint/xapp#43.
