xplayer-video-thumbnailer hangs

xplayer 1.8.3

On the gunzipped attached file, xplayer-video-thumbnailer hangs. This hang causes all subsequent calls to the thumbnailer to stall inifinitely, resulting in many 'processing' thumbnails in nemo, one for any file that needs its thumbnail updated.

Reproduce:
Unzip accompanying mp4 file, Roger-Waters.mp4.gz .
In a terminal, run:
xplayer-video-thumbnailer Roger-Waters.mp4 rw.png. It will respond with:

@bjd-pfq I doubt we will bother doing any fixes for xplayer as we moved on to celluloid instead.
