My suggestion for getting involved would be just to start using the framework. Since it's early days, you're going to run into issues. And when you do, you can open bug reports and try to fix those reports. I'm available for any guidance and suggestions if you get stuck.

Getting involved early in a project like this is a really good opportunity to make a big contribution, so I'm excited to see your enthusiasm.
