I've tried it several times with npm cache clean and it has similar output every time.

I've had the same problem just now. OSX Mavericks (Darwin 13.3.0), Node v0.11.13, NPM v1.4.9, node-gyp v1.0.2.

Output of gcc --version:

Configured with: --prefix=/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/usr --with-gxx-include-dir=/usr/include/c++/4.2.1
Apple LLVM version 5.1 (clang-503.0.40) (based on LLVM 3.4svn)
Target: x86_64-apple-darwin13.3.0
Thread model: posix

@aulizko Oh, I tried it with Node v0.10.26 and it worked- I see we're both using unstable Node versions. Would still like to be able to built it on v0.11.x though

Edit: Also worked with 0.10.33
