Service Level Objective (SLO)

A Service Level Objective is a collection of one or more Requirements for an SLI.

Example Response Time SLO:

  • 99% of requests will be completed in 1000ms.
  • 90% of requests will be completed in 500ms.
  • 50% of requests will be completed in 50ms.

Example Survival Rate SLO:

  • 99.99% of requests will be handled successfully.
