I think I'll try to get some or all of this as the next main format to work on.

For the demo viewer, probably you'll just see the first frame of any animation, but presumably some way to let general applications view all frames of animation would be good.

Personally, the public domain copy of the Castle Of The Winds sprites happen to be stored in a non-animated .gif file, which is why I want to add this format next (or at least partial support for it). I mean I could just convert those particular files to another format using whatever program, but that's no fun.
