All other have it, we don't -> A logo for LokiDB.

My idea so far, because Loki is a shape shifter:

A database (maybe represented by 3 stacked boxes). morphing to animals (bird, snake, fish...) in the right half. ;)

I'd humbly suggest something that symbolizes speed (lightning?), or some other primary quality about Loki that you want to emphasize.

Well @techfort originally decided to use kenaz/kaunaz rune for the logo on his lokijs.org page.

I'm sure he would be open to re-defining the logo for lokijs2 as that has been moved to LokiJS-Forge, in what I imagine was to allow the community to shape it as they want.

First of all, I am looking forward to this project becoming stable (getting documentation). I am trying with 'old' loki and it looks really promising. Next thing on my todo list is trying lokidb and it's fulltext search.

Now onto the topic. This is just my humble opinion, but logos usually work best if they are square or horizontal (lightning by itself f.e. is quite vertical). Maybe it could be some more or less abstract representation of name (loki), incorporating ether legacy (kaunaz rune) or feature (lightning?). I am attaching a quick example of what I mean.

Nice @zipavlin, I like it...

@techfort ironically the most relevant part in statement 'I absolutely logo' is missing, so I am not sure if you're ok with it or you hate it 😃
@obeliskos thanks 😄

Sorry for the late response but I didn't get any notification. :/

A month ago I did a little brainstorming with nothing fancy but here it is:

Hey @zipavlin,
I really like your approach!
How does it look with a full "L"/more visible L?

feel like an Octopus is fun, smart, and the ultimate shapeshifter. Here's a crack at it. Can clean up and svg it, if it's the right direction.

@Textras this is really adorable! Did you try how it looks without googly eyes?

I love animals!
When thinking about animals who can shapeshift, here in Japan it's well known that foxes and tanuki (raccoon dogs) can shape shift into anything. Even into humans etc.

I highly recommend you check out the film Pom Poko. It's a really good film, one of my favourites, and all about these two animals. You might get some new inspiration. Then if you have some time i'd love to see them turning into characters as well! 😃
