Can we get support for Python 2.x - At least Python 2.7? I'd be hhappy to contribute a PUll Request to do so utilzing the six library to maintain a single codebase.

No, Pygame Zero is explicitly Python 3 only. The Python 2/3 transition causes confusion for beginners which we wish to completely side-step by targetting Python 3 only, forever.
