Hi,

is there any way to make this work with the Markdown citation syntax [@citekey] ?
Any pointers would be appreciated!

Thanks

Hi,

[@citekey] is not a Markdown syntax but a Markdown Pandoc syntax, there are many flavors of Markdown :)

As far as I know, Goldmark (the Markdown parser for Hugo) can't understand [@citekey]. Perhaps you can find a way to convert this markup in another markup, but in my opinion it would be painless and this may create other (bad) side effects.

Hi,

thanks for the answer!

I want to use hugo to publish notes from a Zettelkasten software like Zettlr, so I'm bound to the [@citekey] syntax for my notes.
So my best shot is to just write a script that manually converts all citation links in my Zettelkasten before publishing changes to hugo ?
