What is the research about? I am Lucie-Aimée, a researcher in the university of Southampton and I work on this project as part of my PhD research, collaborating with Pavlos Vougiouklis, and Elena Simper at the university of Southampton. This experiment will observe your interaction with text and how you edit Wikipedia. We aim particularly at under-resourced languages to support and improve the editing in these languages.

What will happen to me if I take part? We will ask you to read content page and edit as if you would edit Wikipedia on our laptop. We will ask you questions and encourage you to speak with us in the whole process. We will record the audio of our conversation as well as the screen where you edit. The interview will be happen either in person or via skype.

Are there any benefits in my taking part? We will gain a better understanding in how to support Wikipedia editors and can use this knowledge long-term to build better tools for the community.

Are there any risks involved? There are no risks for you involved in the participation.

Will my participation be confidential? We will publish all data anonymized. The data will be stored only on the password-secured laptops of the researchers.

What should I do if I want to take part? Contact us, or if you have done so, just answer our questions.

What happens if I change my mind? You have the option to withdraw your information, but we would ask you to do so latest two weeks after the interview takes place.

What will happen to the results of the research? We will publish the information together with other results on the topic in a research venue, such as a conference or journal.

Where can I get more information? If you have any more questions, contact Lucie <kaffee[@]soton.ac.uk>
