Use the video as a guide to construct the app.

1. Research

  • (Your niche and topic); If no channel => Find niche, if channel exists w/ niche => Research video topics in the niche.
  • Create notion templates?
  • Link to any relevant APIs? Look at existing repositories
  • Ultimatum: Is my idea within this topic original? If yes → move forward. If no → can I add value in any way and present the material better or do I have a better spin on it? if yes → move forward. If no → stop.

2. Execution

  • Is the video worthy of your audience's time?

3. Script or Visuals

  • Find which of the two you are comfortable starting with. It will vary person to person.
  • Construct the story visually or write an outline of the script.
  • Capture the story in a sketch using your choice of editing software.

4. Final Draft and Initial Voice Recording

  • In word or Notion, whatever editing tool you use, create a draft for the final script.
  • Record your voice using software like Audacity or Adobe Audition.
*Many new creators tend to neglect the quality of their audio when the reality is a viewer is much more likely to notice bad audio than bad video.
∴ Pay attention to your audio.

5. Motion graphics

  • Option, but can add meaningful quality to the video to keep the audience invested during periods of dull but important material.
  • Examples include unique texting, flow charting, camera movements, transitions, etc.

6. Sound Design

  • Another neglected part of the creating process, that plays a crucial role in the viewing experience.
  • Associate the sound with the motion-graphic movements.

7. Final Editing

  • After combining all the elements, make several passes at the completed video in an attempt to make the entire video as short as possible without losing much of the messaging.

8. Thumbnail and Title - The most Important part

  • Take screenshots of any thumbnail you come across that catches your attention.
  • Goal of the thumbnail: Peek your audience’s interest just enough for them to read the title of your video
  • View the thumbnail in multiple viewing formats. Use https://thumbnailpreview.com/

8. After Publishing - Community Engagement

You’re in service to your viewers.

  • Your work is just beginning after you hit publish. Stick around and respond to comments, and offer additional insight to anyone who asks.

Problem: The streamlit site reaches app limit of Google Trends
Solution: Make it easy for users to run it locally. Create an executable? Create notebooks?

Update: Problem was solved by adding header to the Google Trends request. Refer to initial fix here.
